FRANK KOZIK



Frank Kozik was credited with single handedly reviving the "lost" art of the Rock Concert posters, his creative career from his enthusiasm for Austin's growing underground rock scene in the mid -eighties starting with black and white flyer's for friends bands posted on telephone polls, his reputation grew . His work was having a forceful and irresistible affect . Frank has hundreds of full-color, limited edition, silk screened posters for renowned artists such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sex pistols, Soundgarden & The Beastie Boys and many more. Frank has also been the subject of many magazine articles such as Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Spin & Details. He has over 1000 posters and 300 album and CD covers under his belt.




Frank also founded and managed Man's Ruin Recordes, and released over 200 records and CD's in 5 years, including the first releases by bands such as "Queens of the Stone age" and the "Helicopters".


Frank kozik embodies the look and attitudes of the grunge era of the 60's, his work comes forth from the collective conscious of a generation, his universal icons and images translate often into brillant graphics mirroring the power and intensity of the music they promote.



In 1981 Frank began to teach himself graphic design, he was largely influenced by the bold imagery of the Russian Military poster art, as well as classic cheesecake pin-ups.
